Addons

Addons are optional add-ons that change how the editor looks and behaves, from small conveniences to whole new tools. Each one can be turned on or off independently, and many have their own settings. They affect only your editor; they do not change how a project runs when shared.

Opening addon settings

Open the Edit menu and choose Addons. This opens the addon settings window, a searchable list of every addon with a toggle for each.

Using the list

  • Enable or disable an addon with its checkbox. Changes take effect immediately.
  • Per-addon settings: expand an addon to see its own options (checkboxes, dropdowns, colour pickers, and so on).
  • Presets: some addons offer named presets that apply a bundle of settings at once.
  • Reset: each addon has a reset button that restores its defaults.
  • Search by name, description, or setting, and filter by tags to narrow the list. Addons are tagged with markers such as recommended, theme, beta, new, and danger (potentially disruptive).

At the bottom of the window, Reset all restores every addon to its defaults, and Export and Import save and load your whole addon configuration as a file, which is handy for moving your setup between browsers or sharing it.

Notes

  • Some features that began as addons are now built into Bilup directly and are configured on the settings pages instead of here.
  • Addon settings are stored in your browser and sync to your account when you are signed in.
